Terry Jones, CMB, CML, Vice President, Co-Chair, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee, Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association. Member, State Legislative and Regulatory Committee, Mortgage Bankers Association. Vice President, Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. Terry began his career in Mortgage Banking in 1969 after his service in the Navy and rose to the position of President and Chairman of the Board of his former company, Moore Mortgage Company. In 1991 he co-founded Premier Mortgage Group, LLC where he served as General Manager as the company grew to employ over 125 people. Along the way he has held positions as a Loan Officer, Production Manager, Underwriter, Secondary Marketing Manager, and overall Corporate Finance Manager as well as primary responsibility for the general strategic direction of the company. Premier Mortgage Group merged with Cherry Creek Mortgage Co, Inc. in August of 2006. A former President of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) and the recipient of several industry awards, Terry remains actively involved in industry groups and advisory boards. He is currently serving the industry as a member of the Board of Governors of CMLA and Co-Chair of CMLA's Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee where he oversees CMLA's legislative and regulatory policy. He was recently invited to Washington to testify before a subcommittee of Congress and frequently testifies before committees of the Colorado General Assembly and the Board of Mortgage Loan Originators. Terry holds the designation of Certified Mortgage Banker - Residential (CMB) the highest professional designation for the real estate finance industry awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association, and Certified Mortgage Lender (CML) from the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association.
