Cassandra M. Kirsch, Esq., is the founding attorney of the Law Office of Cassandra M. Kirsch, LLC. She largely focuses on Internet law, privacy, defamation, online harassment, computer fraud and crime, and cyber bullying issues, and is knowledgeable in Colorado's statutes relating to revenge porn, cyber sex crimes, extortion, online harassment, and stalking. Ms. Kirsch is the author of the 2018 amendments to Colorado's revenge porn statute and the current author for the Privacy chapter to the CBA Civil Claims treatise. Ms. Kirsch is a recognized legal scholar on privacy and cyber security legal issues and has litigated contentious Internet jurisdiction issues and obtained successful results for her clients. Her grasp of Internet technologies allows her to explain unlawful activities ranging from defamation to online harassment campaigns and the resulting harms in a way that any judge or juror can understand. Outside the courtroom, Ms. Kirsch has published on the intersection of needs between high-security, privacy, and society. She has analyzed the advent and nature of Internet phenomena, including cyber warfare, and different hacker groups. Her cyber security publications are available in the Peace Palace Library in the Hague and law reviews across the country. Ms. Kirsch received a B.A. in Government and East Asian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, with honors, and received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Prior to law school, she received a Certificate of Study in Chinese Language and Culture from Zhejiang University of Technology. Ms. Kirsc previously won first place in the Leonard v. B. Sutton International Law writing competition and presented at the NKU Law + Informatics symposium on safe harbor provisions for Computer Fraud and Abuse Act violations.
