Lauren Wylie Gempel, Esq., is a shareholder at Epstein Patierno, LLP. Lauren joined Epstein Patierno in 2018 and she has focused her practice exclusively on family law since joining the firm. Lauren attended law school at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where she was awarded a Child and Family Advocacy Fellowship and served as the Managing Editor for Family Court Review, Volume 52. During law school, Lauren handled pro bono cases in the Juvenile Law Clinic and worked as a research assistant to Andrew Schepard, the Director of the Center for Children, Families and the Law at Hofstra University. After law school, Lauren served as a law clerk for District Court Judge Ann Gail Meinster in Jefferson County, Colorado and then went to work for Peper Law Offices, P.C., where she was as an associate attorney serving in the roles of court-appointed Respondent Parent Counsel or Guardian ad Litem in dependency and neglect, juvenile delinquency, and child support enforcement proceedings.  Lauren is a member of the Colorado Bar Association's Family Law Section and she has presented at section-sponsored events such as the Family Law Institute and Spring Family Law Update.
