Matthew T. Kirsch

Matthew T. Kirsch, Esq., is the First Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado, and he has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney for over twenty-three years. He has prosecuted a variety of crimes throughout his career but has focused on complex economic crimes. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his law degree from Duke University. He also clerked for a United States District Judge in the Middle District of North Carolina and, between college and law school, taught at a boarding school in Shrewsbury, England. Matt is a member and past Chair of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee and a member of the Colorado Supreme Court’s Standing Rules Committee. He has also previously served as a Professional Responsibility Officer and as the Giglio official for the United States Attorney’s Office.
