Christine A. Washburn
18th Judicial District
The Honorable Christine A. Washburn is a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District. She is assigned to a dedicated Domestic Relations docket. Judge Washburn was appointed to the bench on September 4, 2024. Previous to her appointment, she served as a Magistrate in the 18th Judicial District handling general domestic relations matters and the child support enforcement docket. Judge Washburn has also served as a part-time Magistrate in Denver County Court, handling protection orders, civil, forcible entry and detainer, criminal and general sessions matters. She worked as a Deputy D.A., Chief Deputy D.A. and Senior Chief Deputy D.A. for the Denver District Attorney’s Office from 1999 to 2021 and then opened a private law practice in 2022. She earned a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, in 1995 and her J.D. in 1998 from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
