Marco D. Chayet, Esq., is the founding partner of Chayet & Danzo, LLC, the Public Administrator for Colorado’s 18th Judicial District and the Manager of Wolf Energy Company. Marco is the past chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the current Elder Law Section delegate to the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors. Marco is a 2026 Colorado Super Lawyer in Elder Law, a 2026 Top 100 Super Lawyer in Colorado, Law Week Colorado’s 2017 and 2020 Barristers Best Trusts & Estates lawyer, and is an award winner by 5280 Magazine as a top elder law attorney for 2026. Marco received the 2024 John J. Campbell Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Practice of Elder Law in Colorado. In 2021, Governor Polis appointed Marco as the 6th Congressional District Commissioner for the Supreme Court Nominating Commission. In 2017, Governor John Hickenlooper appointed Marco as an original Commissioner for the Colorado Office of Public Guardian. Marco is an adjunct professor of elder law at the University of Colorado School of Law, a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  Marco, born and raised in Denver, received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law and his undergraduate training was at the University of California at Berkeley and at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Marco currently serves as a trustee on the boards of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the Helen G. Bonfils Foundation, The Next 50 Initiative, Von’s Vision, and the Law Alumni Board for the University of Colorado School of Law.
