Elizabeth “Booka” Smith, Esq., began her legal career in 1995, in Boston, Massachusetts, working as an Associate Attorney in the Business Litigation Department of a large International law firm. In 1999, Ms. Smith returned to her home state of Colorado to work as a Senior Associate Attorney in the Litigation Department of Jacobs Chase Frick Kleinkopf & Kelley, LLC. In 2006, Ms. Smith became a Partner in Starrs Mihm, LLP, and began focusing her law practice on plaintiff's side employment litigation. In 2015, she launched The Law Offices of Elizabeth “Booka” Smith, LLC, which specializes in representing executive and professional individuals who find themselves embroiled in employment and business related difficulties, disputes, and litigation. Ms. Smith's current law practice places primary emphasis on whistleblower retaliation litigation. Ms. Smith routinely advocates for her clients in State and federal courts, before State and federal agencies (the EEOC, the CCRD, the OSHA, and the SEC), and in arbitrations and mediations. Ms. Smith is an active member of several professional associations, including the Colorado Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Association (Colorado PELA) and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA).
