Jennifer (Jen) Wascak, Esq., is an attorney with the firm of Seter & Vander Wall, PC, where she focuses on special district and local government representation.  Prior to working at Seter & Vander Wall, Jen was a public sector attorney, serving fifteen years as County Attorney, Deputy County Attorney, and Assistant County Attorney in Adams County, Colorado.  During that time, she represented county elected officials including the Board of County Commissioners and various other public boards, commissions, and directors in matters ranging from land use, liquor licensing, employment law, contracts, appellate litigation, Colorado Open Records law, Colorado Open Meetings law, property tax, public and intergovernmental relations, foreclosures, airports, and Open Space.  Her experience includes implementation of a countywide performance management program, transparency in government initiatives, and a code of ethics and training program for county government employees.  Jen is a graduate and former chair of the Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) program, a former CBA Vice President, and has served on the CBA Executive Council and Board of Governors.  Jen is a past president of the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association and the 17th Judicial District Access to Justice Committee.  She received the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association's Volunteer Attorney of the Year Award in both 2005 and 2008, and was a co-recipient of its Citizen of the Year Award in 2012.  She is currently a member of the Peer Professionalism Advisory Group (PPAG) and Working Group C of the Chief Justice's Commission on the Legal Profession.  Jen graduated from Towson State University, summa cum laude, and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore, cum laude, in 1996.  She clerked for the Honorable Donald W. Marshall and the Honorable Thomas R. Ensor, both of the 17th Judicial District.
