Cindy H. Dang

The Honorable Cindy Dang currently serves as a senior judge for Denver County Court. Previously, Judge Dang has served as a County Court Judge for Adams County and a District Court Magistrate for the Seventeenth Judicial District of Colorado (Adams County and the City and County of Broomfield). Judge Dang is the first known Vietnamese American judge in the State of Colorado.

Judge Dang has presided over numerous DUI jury trials and evidentiary motions hearings. During her legal career, Judge Dang has also worked as a deputy district attorney, a guardian ad litem, and a private attorney. Judge Dang is a past-president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA), a past-chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association of Colorado (AILA Colorado), and a former board member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association (CWBA). She is a graduate of the Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program (COBALT 2008).

Judge Dang is the daughter of Grand Master Dang Huy Duc, a world-renowned Tae Kwon Do grand master. Judge Dang holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Judge Dang lives by her father’s legacy of core values: kindness, gratitude, respect, wisdom, and trustworthiness.
