Denise D. Peacock

4th Judicial District
Honorable Magistrate Denise Peacock presides over juvenile delinquencies and family law matters.  She has been a Magistrate in the 4th Judicial District since January 2002.  She received her B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in French from Columbia College, Columbia, SC.  She obtained her J.D. from the University of Virginia - School of Law, Charlottesville, VA.  Magistrate Peacock was an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate with the United States Air Force from 1991 to 1997.  She then worked as an associate for Warren, Mundt, and Martin, P.C. until she opened her own practice in October 1999.  Magistrate Peacock has served on a number of boards to include Teen Court and Court Care of the Pikes Peak Region.  She was President of the El Paso County Women's Bar Association from May 2000 to May 2001.  She served as trustee on the El Paso County Bar Association Board of Trustees from 2008 to 2010.  She is currently the Chair of the SB94 Juvenile Services Planning Committee which oversees a number of services provided as alternatives to juvenile detention.  She is on the Steering Committee for the El Paso County Bar Association Waldo Canyon Fire Tree Planting Service Project and is a member of the Southeast Springs Soccer Initiative.
