Christopher P. Friedman
Securities and Exchange CommissionChristopher P. Friedman is the Assistant Regional Director of Operations with the SEC, and he is responsible for the operational functions of the Denver Regional Office. Mr. Friedman supervises the investor relations, human resources, and information technology units for the region. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Friedman served as both an Enforcement Attorney and Trial Counsel in the Denver Regional Office. In those roles, Mr. Friedman investigated and litigated matters involving violations of the federal securities laws throughout the United States. Mr. Friedman was responsible for all aspects of litigation from case analysis and management to settlement negotiations and trial work. After graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law and the University of Colorado School of Business Administration with a joint JD/MBA in 1997, Mr. Friedman joined the Adams County District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney. While with the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Friedman prosecuted cases in Colorado's county, juvenile and district courts. Prior to joining the SEC in 2003, Mr. Friedman spent several years in private practice specializing in business transactions and commercial litigation.
