Stuart L. Kutz Jr

Stuart Kutz, Jr., PhD, JD, is a Forensic Psychologist with offices in Denver and Boulder. He performs civil capacity evaluations throughout Colorado, often in probate.  He has been licensed as a Psychologist for 35 years and as an attorney for 17 years.  He received his Bachelor's Degree from Duke University, magna cum laude and with Distinction in Psychology.  He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University and completed an internship at the University of Florida Medical Center.  He received his J.D. from the University of Denver, after which he served as a law clerk in Denver District Court, Civil Division, for one year.  He practiced probate litigation until recently, and his attorney status currently is inactive.  He has been qualified as an expert in Forensic Psychology and Neuropsychology in numerous Colorado Courts.  In addition to performing forensic psychological evaluations, his prior practice for many years included clinical and neuropsychological evaluations for persons of all ages in a wide variety of settings, including private and public psychiatric hospitals, medical hospitals, physical rehabilitation hospitals, pain management clinics, nursing homes, and developmental disability facilities. He has presented a number of CLE workshops addressing expert testimony, cognitive assessment, client capacity, undue influence, and mental health issues.
