John C. Clune
Hutchinson Black & Cook LLCJohn Clune, Esq., has been recognized as one of the nation's top sexual abuse attorneys and has been successfully litigating on behalf of survivors of assault and harassment in courts and campus proceedings for nearly 25 years. John has been recognized as one of the most experienced and well-known lawyers for survivors of sexual abuse and harassment. Most recently, John was spotlighted in the national news for his representation of Deborah Ramirez during the Senate confirmation hearings involving US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. A former Chief Deputy District Attorney, John has developed a national practice representing survivors of sexual abuse after seeing first-hand the poor treatment received from the justice system when opposing powerful persons or institutions. Often going after high-profile and influential defendants, John levels the playing field for survivors of abuse. He has taken on cases against many influential defendants on behalf of crime victims and is a regular speaker on Title IX, victim privacy, and navigating media coverage of high-profile litigation. Prior to joining HBC, John co-founded and served as the first legal director for the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center, a pro-bono non-profit organization dedicated to the enforcement of crime victims' rights where he currently serves on their advisory board. John regularly represents survivors in civil lawsuits, criminal cases, campus disciplinary proceedings, sports league, and media relations.
