Margaret Polson founded Polson Intellectual Property Law in 2014.  Before that, Ms. Polson was a member of Oppedahl Patent Law Firm, having joined the firm as a partner in 2009.  Ms. Polson has been practicing intellectual property law since 1996. Ms. Polson concentrates her practice on the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patent applications, trademarks and copyrights, licensing and intellectual property strategy and management. Ms. Polson has obtained patents for clients in a wide variety of technical areas, from drilling tools to vegetable based engine oil. Ms. Polson has significant experience in international intellectual property law, including both prosecution and litigation.Ms. Polson earned her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She received her J.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1996. Ms. Polson is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, she is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.Ms. Polson is the current chair of the AIPLA Industrial Design Committee and chair of the Hague implementation sub-committee.
