Stuart Lark is a member of Sherman & Howard LLC, and his practice concentrates on corporate, tax, constitutional, and transactional matters for nonprofit organizations. He regularly advises clients on tax exemptions, commercial activities, unrelated trade or business tax issues, intellectual property, employment practices, corporate governance and structure, financing, and international activities. Mr. Lark works with a wide range of nonprofits, including religious organizations, health care providers, social service organizations, educational institutions, and private foundations. He has authored numerous articles and given many presentations on matters particularly relevant for religious and other nonprofit organizations. He has also filed amicus briefs in a number of cases involving religious liberty matters. Mr. Lark graduated from The University of Chicago Law School in 1996.
