Law Office of Jennifer S Gormley PCJennifer S. Gormley is a shareholder with the Law Office of Jennifer S. Gormley P.C., concentrating her practice in elder law, estate and trust law, disability law and probate, including probate and trust litigation, protective proceedings, and estate/trust administration. In addition to representing individuals and fiduciaries, Ms. Gormley serves as court-appointed counsel and guardian ad litem. Ms. Gormley serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations including: The Senior Resource Center (SRC), Dementia Friendly Denver, and Colorado Guardianship Association. Ms. Gormley is a founding member and president of the board of the Colorado Guardianship Association. Ms. Gormley received her LL.M. in Elder Law from Stetson College of Law (2015), J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law (1995), and M.A. from the University of Colorado (1994). Her master's program focused on law and public policy with emphasis in aging and she presented her thesis on The Development of Old Age Security in the United States Compared to Policy Developments in Great Britain. She is active with Colorado Bar Association having chaired the Elder Law Section and the Elder Law Section CLE and Publications Committee, served as secretary and treasurer of the Solo Small Firm Section, and on the Steering Committee of the Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program (COBALT). Ms. Gormley was a 2008 class member of COBALT. She has published articles and she frequently lectures at CLE and elder law programs, including several articles presented internationally in Austria, Mexico, Canada, and the Bahamas. Ms. Gormley is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law teaching Elder Law since 2005. She has chaired the Elder Law Institute, which provides advanced training programs for attorneys and professionals.
