Scott C. Miller, Esq., is a partner with Patrick, Miller & Noto, a Colorado law firm with its practice specializing in water rights, ditch easements, water quality and water related issues. His clients include special districts, municipalities, regulated utilities, ditch companies, developers, home owners' associations, non-profit organizations, mineral companies, among a wide variety of other water users. Mr. Miller has written and presented on a variety of legal issues relating to western water law, including ditch easements. He served for many years on the Editorial Board and was the Colorado reporter for the Western Water Law Policy & Reporter. He is an active member of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, and the Section's Water Resources Committee.  He also serves as the Colorado Coordinator for WESTCAS (Western Coalition of Arid States).  Mr. Miller has practiced in front of the Supreme Court of Colorado, Colorado Court of Appeals, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals; and was co-counsel with Kevin Patrick on a case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Miller has been lead counsel in the St. Jude's v. Roaring Fork Club litigation that has made it to the Colorado Supreme Court, twice. Mr. Miller received his juris doctorate and a masters in environmental law from the Vermont Law School in 1995.  His bachelors was earned in 1987 from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
