Garrison W. Kaufman
Colorado Department of Public Health and EnvironmentGarry Kaufman is an air quality practitioner with two decades of experience working at the State of Colorado and as a private practice attorney on air quality policy, rule development, permitting requirements, administrative enforcement actions, and appeals and litigation at both the state and federal levels. During his career, Mr. Kaufman has served in many roles at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Air Pollution Control Division, including director, deputy director, manager of the Planning and Policy Program, and legal administrator for the Air Quality Control Commission. Mr. Kaufman began his career with the State of Colorado at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office representing the Air Pollution Control Division in civil and administrative enforcement matters. Prior to coming to work for the state, he worked as a private practice civil litigator. Mr. Kaufman attended the University of Minnesota Law School where he graduated magna cum laude and served as an articles editor for the University of Minnesota Law Review.
