Honorable John Scipione became a District Court Magistrate for the 18th Judicial District in October 2012 after nearly 18 years in private practice. Magistrate Scipione was most recently managing partner of the Denver office of Taussig, Scipione & Taussig, P.C. where he specialized in plaintiff's personal injury, insurance bad faith, employment litigation and federal criminal defense. Throughout his career, John tried approximately 100 criminal and civil cases to verdict. He has practiced in the areas of family law, dependency and neglect, criminal defense, commercial litigation, medical negligence, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, products liability, and employment/Title VII matters in both state and federal courts. John currently handles both a county and district court docket for the 18th Judicial District.
