Peter Griffiths recently retired from practice but continues his interest in real estate and real estate law. During his years of practice, he contributed to several CBA-CLE publications, including the 2017 through 2022 updates of Colorado Real Estate Practice and the Colorado Real Estate Forms Deskbook (since 2016), and he is the Update Author of the 2017 through 2022 updates of ColoradoTitle Insurance Practice.

He has specialized in real estate law and transactions for the past 43 years, 16 of which were as a shareholder in a leading law firm in Cape Town, South Africa, and since then in the title insurance industry in Colorado, USA.

He has lectured widely on behalf of CLE in Colorado, Inc. on title insurance related topics, at private educational institutions on real estate and title insurance law, and to realtors and trade groups.

He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Bar Foundation, and the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust section). From March 2006 until June 2015, he was a member of the Real Estate Law Section Council of the Colorado Bar Association and from November 2009 until June 2015, he was the representative of the Council to the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association. In 2009, he was named as one of Colorado’s Super Lawyers. He has been a member of the Title Standards Committee since 2014.

Mr. Griffiths graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Laws degree in1978.
