Kathleen Nalty is a lawyer who has spent her entire career focused on her passion for diversity, inclusion, social justice, and civil rights and has earned multiple awards for her ground-breaking work in diversity and inclusion in the legal industry. Currently, she is a consultant specializing in assisting organizations in their implementation of diversity and inclusiveness initiatives. Kathleen is also an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she teaches a course on diversity and inclusion. In 2017 Kathleen gave a TED Talk called “Diversity Makes You Smarter.” In 2015 Kathleen published a book entitled “Going All-In on Diversity & Inclusion: The Law Firm Leaders' Playbook.” Previously, Kathleen founded the Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI) in Denver, Colorado and led the nonprofit as its Executive Director for five years. Kathleen received her B.A. from the University of Denver and her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School.  Early in her legal career she worked as a federal civil rights prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, DC where she prosecuted hate crimes, slavery, and police brutality cases.
