Margaret M. Cook

Margaret Cook is Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Legal Officer of Alliant National Title Insurance Company, Inc. She is responsible for contributing to the strategic growth of the company and all legal aspects of the organization - overseeing underwriting, claims, compliance, regulatory and corporate matters, as well as developing Alliant National's legal team.
Ms. Cook has spent over 30 years practicing law, with over 27 of those years in the title insurance industry. She previously served as chief claims counsel, regional underwriting counsel, and deputy general counsel for various underwriters.
Ms. Cook earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi, as well as her Juris Doctorate from the same institution. She has held leadership roles at the American Land Title Association, Land Title Association of Colorado, and the Colorado Title Advisory Council. She currently serves on the Title Standards Committee for the Colorado Bar Association and several American Land Title Association and Colorado Land Title Association committees.
