Ann G. Meinster Esq
State JudicialHonorable Ann Gail Meinster was appointed as a District Court Magistrate in Jefferson County Colorado in January 2009 and hears primarily juvenile and domestic matters. Magistrate Meinster presides over the Family Integrated Treatment (FIT) Court which is a dependency drug court. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she was a partner in the firm of Meinster & Meinster, PC, where she practiced as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL), Child and Family Investigator (CFI), and attorney for respondent parents throughout the state. Ms. Meinster is a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts, received her law degree from the University of San Diego School Of Law in California, and is licensed to practice law in California, Colorado, and Maryland. She formerly served as Assistant Park County Attorney representing the Department of Human Services, and has taught and facilitated trainings throughout Colorado regarding the role of the GAL in Dependency and Neglect actions and the CFI in domestic relations matters. In 2004 she was awarded the Linda T. Palmieri Award for Outstanding Service on Behalf of Children. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Ms. Meinster served on various non-profit boards including the board for the Office of the Child's Representative in Colorado. On October 3, 2011, Ms. Meinster was appointed to fill the vacancy on the 1st Judicial District Court created by the resignation of the Honorable R. Brooke Jackson. Ms. Meinster is currently the Presiding Juvenile Judge for the First Judicial District.
