IRS Office of Chief CounselMichael Lloyd, Attorney, SB/SE, is an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service in Denver. He served as a Special Assistant United Stated Attorney representing the IRS in bankruptcy court. In addition, he has represented the IRS in litigation before the United States Tax Court. Prior to joining the Office of Chief Counsel he clerked for United States Bankruptcy Judge Peder Ecker in South Dakota. He is licensed to practice in Colorado and Wyoming. He served 28 years in the Air National Guard. In addition to government service, he has worked for a law firm focusing on creditor work and another law firm exclusively providing legal services for debtors. He has written articles and materials for and presented at various education seminars on bankruptcy and tax topics.
