Robert T. Hinds, Jr., Esq., was named young lawyer of the year in 1975 by the Arapahoe County Bar Association and became President in 1978. He was a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Committee on Child Custody and served as President. Mr. Hinds also was a founding member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Colorado Chapter serving as its President and also serving three terms as a member of the national Board of Governors. He and his son, Robert T. Hinds, III, with whom he practices law, are the co-authors of Colorado Domestic Relations Forms. Mr. Hinds is a past Chair of the Colorado Family Law Section. He received the Richard N. Doyle award from CLE in 2005. He is listed in the Martindale-Hubble register of Preeminent Layers, The Best Lawyers in America, 2008 - present, and has been listed as one of the top 50 lawyers in all fields in Super Lawyers 5280 and continues to be listed as a Colorado Super Lawyer. He is a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Hinds received the Icon Award in 2010 from the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the CLE award of Excellence in 2005, and the MDIC Presidents award in 2015. He is currently chair of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Judicial Liaison Committee. He has given numerous seminar presentations to the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Chapter of Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers over the years.
