Joan S. Heller, Esq., is an Assistant County Attorney in Jefferson County where she handles mental health certifications, involuntary alcohol and drug commitments, cases involving the imposition of legal disability, child protection cases and occasionally, adult protection cases. Prior to working for Jefferson County, she provided criminal defense through the Office of the Public Defender and had a private practice handling civil and criminal cases.
