Virginia L. (Ginny) Grady, Esq., is the Federal Public Defender for the Districts of Colorado and Wyoming. Ms. Grady began her 30-year career as a trial lawyer in the Denver Trial Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. She joined the Office of the Federal Public Defender in 1990. Ms. Grady has been sole counsel in dozens of jury trials. She is the founder of a bi-annual continuing legal education program for attorneys who practice under the Criminal Justice Act in the United States District Courts in Colorado and Wyoming. She is a former Chair of the Committee on Conduct for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the Vice-Chair of the College's Committee on the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
