C Vincent . Phelps Jr
Honorable C. Vincent Phelps graduated from Nebraska State Univ., Kearney, NE, in January of 1966, just in time to receive a “greetings” letter from the local draft board. After completing Navy OCS and serving a 4 plus year stint in SE Asia and Southern CA, he returned to law school, graduating from the Univ. of NE Law School in 1974. He was in private practice in Brighton, CO, from August, 1974 to April, 1996, were he also served as the part time Municipal Judge for Brighton. He was appointed to the District Court bench in February, 1996 and was sworn in April 8, 1996. He was appointed Chief Judge for the 17th District, in July of 2008, for Adams and Broomfield Counties. He is scheduled to retire as of Feb. 1, 2014.
