Casey S. Funk

Casey S. Funk began his career with the Denver Board of Water Commissioners in 1972 as a water main tapper, valve truck operator, and environmental planner. Mr. Funk currently is employed as in-house counsel for the Denver Board of Water Commissioners, a position he has held since 1981. In that position, he is primarily responsible for the adjudication and protection of the water rights held by Denver. He has spoken at previous CLE seminars and is the author of “Basic Storage 101” and co-author of “Basic Exchange 101,” 1 U. Denv. Water L. Rev. 206 (1997-1998), and “Pagosa — The Great and Growing Cities Doctrine Imperiled: An Objective Look from a Biased Perspective,” 13 U. Denv. Water L. Rev. 283 (Spring 2010). Mr. Funk received his B.S. from the University of Colorado in 1976 and his J.D. from the same university in 1981.
