Steven A. Chavez, Esq., Director of the Colorado Civil Rights Division, is a Denver native. He attend CU law school. He was a staff attorney and supervisory attorney at the Colorado Attorney General's Office. In addition, he held an executive management position with the Colorado Department of Transportation where he supervised its human resources, risk management, training and legal units. Mr. Chavez also was an Enforcement Attorney with the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Chavez serves on a variety of boards and commissions. He is committed to equality for all people.
