Robert Albery is an Assistant General Counsel for Tomkins Ltd. and its various subsidiaries, including the Denver-based Gates Corporation. Tomkins is an industrial and automotive manufacturing and engineering firm with businesses throughout the world. Mr. Albery is based in Denver, Colorado and provides domestic and international legal service to all business units within the Tomkins organization. He focuses primarily in corporate contracting, regulatory compliance, real estate and bankruptcy. Prior to joining Tomkins, Mr. Albery was General Counsel for Neoplan USA, a Colorado-based transit bus and coach manufacturer. At Neoplan, Mr. Albery was responsible for all aspects of the company's legal and regulatory compliance matters. Mr. Albery's legal experience prior to Neoplan includes in-house work for ICG Communications, Inc., and several years as an associate at a large law firm. Mr. Albery received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
