L. Anthony George, Esq., is a partner in the Denver office of Holme Roberts & Owen
LLP, where his practice focuses on management-side labor relations, employment law, and
related litigation. He provides consultation, advice and litigation services to employers in
virtually all aspects of the employment relationship, including union-management relations,
employment discrimination and harassment, the ADA and FMLA, wage and hour questions,
and employment-related tort claims. He has represented employers in administrative
hearings and arbitrations, state and federal trials, and state and federal appeals courts. He is
a frequent writer and speaker on labor and employment topics and has extensive experience
providing training to supervisors and employees on labor and employment issues. He is a
contributing editor of the ABA treatises Employment Discrimination and The Developing
Labor Law and the author of “Controlling Legal Costs in Labor Arbitration,” published in
the June 1999 issue of The Colorado Lawyer. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is
the past chair (2009) of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Labor and Employment
Relations Association. He graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in
1982 and earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1985.
