Kimberly R. Willoughby, Esq., is principal of Willoughby & Associates, a Colorado firm limited to domestic relations litigation, estate planning and prenuptial agreements.  Ms. Willoughby received her undergraduate degree in 1991, magna cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1994.  Ms. Willoughby is licensed in Colorado and South Dakota. Ms. Willoughby is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and past Chapter president.  She is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Ms. Willoughby has served on the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Family Law Section; is a member of the Trust and Estate Section of the CBA; and has served on the boards of the CBA, Colorado Continuing Legal Education, Denver Bar Association, Colorado Women's Bar Association, and the Thompson Marsh Inn of Court.  She has been named in Best Lawyers in America every year since 2006, in Colorado Super Lawyers (including top 100 Colorado Lawyers) every year since 2006 and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell.  She is a frequent lecturer and writer for the Colorado Continuing Legal Education and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers on a wide variety of issues, but in particular on issues involving the nexus between domestic relations and estate planning.
