Ben Sparks practices law in Colorado Springs with Sparks Willson Borges Brandt & Johnson, P.C., a 12-attorney general practice firm. He joined the firm in February 1994 after practicing in the area of corporate finance, securities, and technology licensing from 1989 to 1994 at the firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, California.
Mr. Sparks is former chair of the Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. He graduated from Harvard University with a B.A., magna cum laude, in history and science, in 1985. He was a Rotary Foundation Scholar to Nepal in 1985-1986. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1989 and was the editor in chief of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
Mr. Sparks has represented a variety of technology and manufacturing companies in their finance and general corporate matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and technology licensing.
