One of Mr. Schulman's articles was cited as an authority on damages in a Federal Court Case, Energy Capital Corp. v. The United States, 47 Fed. Cl. 382 (2000) and in Recovery of Damages for Lost Profits, Robert L. Dunn (5th ed. Supp. Sept 2004), as follows: “Some of the issues presented in discounting future damages have begun to receive treatment in scholarly articles… The question whether damages should be discounted to the date of trial or the date of breach is analyzed in Peter Schulman, Economic Damages: Discounting Concepts and Alternatives, 28 Colo. Law. 41 (Jan. 1999).” In a 1999 ruling, a federal judge, made the following comments regarding Mr. Schulman's testimony: “Peter Schulman… is highly experienced and competent. He appears to be reliable and credible. His testimony was not impeached in any serious or substantial fashion. He appears to the Court to be a solid technician with impressive investigative and analytical skills in the appropriates areas.” “Peter Schulman… through some technical wizardry was able to retrieve certain information off the hard drive and determine what had happened to the hard drive.”
