Robert M. Russel

The Honorable Robert (Bob) M. Russel (Ret.) works at the Denver District Attorney's Office as Chief Deputy of the Appellate Division. Before joining the DA's office, Mr. Russel headed the Appellate Divisions of both the United States Attorney's Office (2002-04, 2012-17) and the Colorado Attorney General's Office (1987-2002). He also was a judge on the Colorado Court of Appeals (2004-12). Mr. Russel has served on committees that advise the Colorado Supreme Court on the Rules of Evidence, Rules of Criminal Procedure, Rules of Appellate Procedure, and Criminal Jury Instructions. Before entering legal practice, he taught music and English at the Kent Denver School. Mr. Russel is a graduate of the Colorado Law School.
