William E. Walters III

William E. Walters, III, Esq., is a partner at Heizer Paul LLP and specializes in representing nonprofit organizations including trade and professional associations. He has lectured on topics which include legal risk management for directors and officers, contract law, copyright and trademarks, legislative intellectual property, employment law, computer contracts, social media, hotel negotiations and antitrust law.  Since graduating from Columbia University School of Law in 1974, he has worked in the private sector and also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado from 1978-81.  Mr. Walters is a Past President of the CBA; past President of the DBA; past President and board member of CLE in Colorado, Inc.; past chair of the Colorado Lawyers Committee; past Chair of the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado; and a member of the Colorado Nonprofit Corporation Code Revision Committee. Mr. Walters served as a member of the Legal Section Council of the American Society of Association Executives and has contributed to the ASAE magazine, Association Management.
