Thomas J. Tomazin
Thomas J. Tomazin graduated from the University of Colorado School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He then attended the University of Denver College of Law, obtaining his J.D. in December 1973 and became licensed in Colorado in 1974. After becoming licensed, he was an Assistant Attorney General from 1974 to 1977. From 1977 to 1983 he was a member of two separate law firms and concentrated his practice on civil litigation. From 1983 to 2016 he practiced law with his own law firm, Thomas J. Tomazin, P.C., in the Denver metropolitan area. In 2016, he joined with longtime friend and former associate attorney Neil Hillyard and formed the law firm of Tomazin Hillyard & Clor, LLP. Penelope “Pennie” Clor and Neil had practiced together for the previous 10 years. Mr. Tomazin’s practice continues to emphasize personal injury and medical and dental negligence. He has been a member of the American Association for Justice, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the Arapahoe County Bar Association from 1977 to the present. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association from 2004 to the present, as a member of the Board of Directors and as President of the Arapahoe County Bar Association in 2010-2011, and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association from 2010-2011. He is a frequent author and speaker in the areas of trial advocacy, personal injury, and civil litigation.
