Barb Grandjean's litigation practice includes real estate disputes, business torts, complex contract cases, intellectual property, professional liability, creditor/debtor and securities. She also has significant experience in the employment area, including extensive representation of employers and employees both inside and outside the courtroom.
She frequently consults with employers regarding workplace issues, such as employee hiring, discipline and terminations, privacy and social media matters, reductions in force, executive employment, wage and hour matters, and employment handbooks, policies and training.
Barb has also handled numerous cases involving non-compete and similar agreements, theft of trade secrets, state and federal wage and hour laws, DOL, EEOC and other state and federal agency investigations, as well as issues relating to Title VII, ADEA and ADA, FMLA and workers' compensation, OSHA and COBRA and other contract and tort issues relating to the employment relationship.
She has represented employers and employees in various agency, state and federal court and arbitration (AAA, JAG, FINRA) proceedings related to non-competition agreements, theft of trade secrets, wrongful termination, fiduciary duty, breach of contract, wage disputes, equal pay, discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims.
