Darin L. Mackender
Fisher & Phillips LLCDarin Mackender is a partner in the Denver office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, where he practices in nearly all areas of labor and employment law. Mr. Mackender spends much of his time advising employers regarding compliance with the maze of rules and regulations governing the workplace, assisting employers with day-to-day personnel decisions, and drafting employment policies and contracts. He routinely represents employers before state and federal agencies and courts, emphasizing cases involving unfair competition, wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and also practices traditional labor law, representing management in union campaigns and unfair labor practice charges. Mr. Mackender received a B.A., with distinction, from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a law degree, with high distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law. During law school, he was an executive editor of the Nebraska Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Mackender has contributed to a number of labor and employment law publications, and is a frequent speaker at labor and employment law seminars for human resources managers, business owners, and attorneys.
