Denver City Attorney's OfficeMelissa Drazen-Smith is an Assistant Director for the Prosecution and Code Enforcement Section. Ms. Drazen-Smith obtained her BA in History from the University of Colorado Denver where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and her JD from the University of Colorado Boulder where she graduated in the top 15% of her class. She also served on the Colorado Law Review and was the recipient of the Seeman and Galland Scholarships. Ms. Drazen-Smith has been a criminal prosecutor for 13 years. She began her prosecutorial career at the Denver City Attorney's Office in 1994. She then became a Deputy District Attorney with the 18th Judicial District. At the 18th Judicial District, Ms. Drazen-Smith worked in the Special Victims Unit and specialized in crimes against children.
