Martin D. Beier

Martin D. Beier, Esq., is a Director at S&D Law. He graduated from the University of California, Riverside (B.A., summa cum laude, 1987) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1990), where he was an editor of the Law Review. He served two years as judicial clerk for Chief Judge William J. Holloway, Jr., United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. He regularly speaks on civil litigation related topics throughout the Denver-Boulder-Greeley metropolitan areas and is a presenter for the CBA's Our Courts program.  He was appointed by then-Governor Hickenlooper as Commissioner to the Judicial Performance Commission for the 19th Judicial District, and served as the Commission's Vice Chair. He has served as a Hearing Officer for Aurora Public Schools presiding over disciplinary matters.  For six years, he served on the Board of Directors for Colorado CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), as Board Chair and led various board committees.  His practice areas include real estate litigation, appellate proceedings, complex commercial litigation, employment, school law, mediation and arbitration proceedings.  He is the author of several litigation and appellate related articles previously published in The Colorado Lawyer, the Denver Business Journal and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
