Anne Weber, Esq., law practice focuses on the full spectrum of midstream sector matters including:  acquisitions and divestitures; gas, crude and water gathering; gas compression and processing; buy/sell and other commercial contracts; gas, crude and NGL transportation by pipeline, truck and rail; midstream infrastructure siting and construction; regulatory issues; and environmental clean-up and defense of enforcement matters. In addition to supporting projects within the Rocky Mountain region and other parts of the U.S., her geographic experience covers the western hemisphere including cross-border transactions and projects from the Arctic Circle to the southernmost tip of South America. Before joining the new Denver office of Haynes and Boone, LLP, Anne was the managing attorney of a boutique oil and gas law firm focusing on midstream issues for more than a decade.  She also served as assistant general counsel for Echo Bay Mines, an international gold company and subsequently for Duke Energy, a major U.S. pipeline/utility company. Anne earned a B.S. degree in geology from the University of Wyoming and a law degree from Vanderbilt University. Her prior business positions have included oil shale geochemist for the U.S. Department of Energy, field engineer for Dresser Industries, petroleum geophysicist for Amoco Production Company, and chief geophysicist for Britoil's U.S. operations. Anne maintains national professional certification with the American Institute of Professional Geologists (CPG 8653). Anne was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to two terms on the Minerals, Energy and Geology Policy Advisory Board of Colorado, is a former Chair of the Colorado Bar Association's Natural Resources and Energy Law Section, and has served the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation as a Trustee and as Oil & Gas Program Co-Chair for the 2009 Annual Institute. Anne is a frequent speaker on midstream and other natural resource topics including past Colorado Bar Association annual programs, the RMMLF Houston 2011 Special Institute for Oil and Gas Agreements:  Midstream and Marketing and the RMMLF Pittsburgh 2014 Special Institute for “Development Issues in Major Shale Plays: What's on the Horizon?”.
