Rita M. Connerly, Esq., practices in the areas of real estate and public law. She actively represents special districts, authorities, municipalities, property owners and developers.  Rita served as the Adams County Attorney advising elected officials, boards, commissions and the Front Range Airport Authority.  She worked in-house with a national real estate company securing land use entitlements and, today represents both private and public entities on complex projects that generate jobs, transform landscapes and require close intergovernmental relationships.  She handles permitting for enterprises, communication companies and oil and gas companies. She represents clients undertaking land acquisitions, property entitlements, financings and development of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects. She has drafted legislation, represented clients in local, state, federal and administrative proceedings and has successfully argued before both the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. Rita currently serves as Chair of Aurora Economic Development Council, holds an executive office on Adams County Economic Development, Co-Chairs the Aerospace & Aviation Committee and is on her firm's executive committee. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer, named a top woman lawyer by Law Week Colorado and named an outstanding women in business finalist by the Denver Business Journal.
