Harvey Flewelling, Esq., is associate general counsel and appeals counsel at Pinnacol Assurance. He has handled hundreds of workers' compensation appeals, including over thirty-five decisions published by Colorado appellate courts. He negotiates, drafts, and analyzes workers' compensation legislation. He also provides legal research, advice, and training to coworkers, outside counsel, and policyholders. Prior to joining Pinnacol in 2006, he spent over ten years defending insurers and employers in workers' compensation hearings and appeals, and two years writing orders as a judicial law clerk. Harvey has a B.A. in English writing and secondary education from Morningside College where he was an academic all-conference football player and a J.D. from the University of Iowa where he was a note and comment editor of the Journal of Corporation Law.
