Louisa . Schlieben
Juniper Family Law, LLCLouisa Schlieben, Esq., is a business owner, mediator, and collaboratively trained attorney who specializes in complex family law matters, including psychological parenthood cases, high-asset divorces, jurisdictional disputes, abduction prevention issues, and unconventional income sources. Louisa provides empathetic, solutions-oriented representation, believes in collaborating with clients to find the best path forward for their unique circumstances, and always strives to put children first. Her pragmatic approach is informed by her unconventional path to the law. She grew up in Harlem as one of five children, trained as a classical ballet dancer with the New York City Ballet, and worked full-time to put herself through Hunter College before attending Cardozo School of Law on a full academic scholarship. She began her legal career with the Innocence Project, the Alaska Public Defender Agency, and the Legal Aid Society, before moving to Denver to work as a Deputy Public Defender. Outside of her practice, Louisa enjoys spending time with her six wonderful stepdaughters and two thoroughly spoiled little dogs, remodeling her home and office, and baking sour-dough bread.
