Dick . Peterson

Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center
Dick Peterson, Director of Operations, is the Director of Operations of the Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center.  In the late 70's, Dick became aware of the employee ownership business model when he discovered the Mondragon Cooperatives in Spain and The Group Real Estate Company in Fort Collins, an agent and employee-owned enterprise. At that time Dick owned several Re/Max offices and decided to sell two of them to the employee agents.  One of these, Re/Max of Cherry Creek, is still in existence. In 2003 Dick was recruited to manage the new Cherry Creek office of Keller Williams Realty. He began the process of initiating an agent owned business which for many years was the top Keller Williams Office in Colorado.  Following his retirement, Dick visited Mondragon in Spain and became convinced that the Rocky Mountain area needed a new non-profit educational organization, the sole purpose of which was to promote employee ownership.  He was instrumental in the founding of the Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center with the assistance of Larry Dunn and Bill Kirton.
