Lorraine E. Parker, Esq., is an advocate and trial lawyer representing individuals and families injured by the negligence of others. She graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, in 1984. She practiced as an assistant district attorney with the Harris County District Attorney's Office for eight years before moving to Colorado in 1992 and commencing a civil practice focused on personal injury and medical malpractice. Ms. Parker is a past chair of the Colorado Bar Association's Litigation Section, a past president of the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and past vice chair of the Colorado Supreme Court Character and Fitness Committee for the Board of Law Examiners. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Hearing Board for attorney disciplinary proceedings. Ms. Parker is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She has taught numerous CLEs and NITA programs over the years and is well-known for her mentorship of younger lawyers. Ms. Parker has been recognized for her legal work and her professionalism through the Colorado Women's Bar Association prestigious Mary Lathrop Award in 2013, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Case of the Year award in 2004 for her successful appeal to the Colorado Supreme Court of an order requiring her client to produce confidential medical records, and the CTLA/CDLA Professionalism Award in 2017. Her peers routinely recognized her as a Top 10 Colorado Super Lawyer, a Best Lawyers®, including “Lawyer of the Year” in Medical Malpractice - Plaintiffs, and as a 5280 Magazine “Top Lawyer.”
