Jon Monson, has a master's degree in Sanitary Engineering from Georgia Tech and over 35 years' experience in the water and wastewater field, about half as a consulting engineer and half as municipal utilities director. As Greeley's Water and Sewer director he oversees development and implementation of Greeley's water master plan to secure the City's water future for the next thirty years. As a consultant, he designed the expansion of a sewer plant serving 150,000 people and was also the chief engineer and bottle washer on a one-man pilot plant testing advanced waste treatment technologies on textile mills. He has been the water and sewer director in Greeley for seventeen years, previously holding a similar position with the City of Hollywood, Florida.
