The Honorable Kathryn Burgchardt has been the Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Colorado Springs ODAR since 2008. She previously served as a line judge in the Detroit (Michigan) ODAR for four years. She came to the ALJ Corps with experience as a hearing office director, a group supervisor, and decision writer with the Social Security Administration. Judge Burgchardt spent time in private practice doing bankruptcy and commercial litigation in Texas, then served on active duty in the Navy JAG corps. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and University of Pittsburgh Law School, and is admitted to the Pennsylvania and Texas Bars. Judge Burgchardt is married.
